Loads of love to my lovelies! With a warm hello, I begin with today’s topic which I think you will find helpful. Lately, I picked Khadi Aloe Vera Glycerine Body Wash, an ayurvedic handmade bathing bar or soap from Manav Herbal with the goodness of aloe vera and other beautiful ingredients. I have tried many glycerine soaps but this is the first ayurvedic handmade glycerine soap that I picked. Let’s see how it worked and if you should give it a try.
Before I start my review, I think I might share with you one more thing. The other day, one of my friends bought a liquid body wash of an emerging brand and asked me which is better – a liquid body wash or a bathing bar? Her question is absolutely normal I guess, for a lot of us have the same question on our minds. Well, while it is tempting to think that liquid body wash lasts longer and it is less prone to contamination, bathing bars if maintained well, also come with the same results. I will cover this debate in a later detailed post and in the meanwhile, I leave it on you to think about it.
Now, let’s get back to the review.

My Experience with Khadi Aloe Vera Body Wash Soap
I thoroughly enjoyed using this product. There are a lot of glycerine soaps available in the Indian market and while I had pleasing experiences with some, others were a waste of time and money. Khadi Aloe Vera Bathing Bar from Manav Herbal is different.
The lather really works up fast. It’s rich and very smooth in texture but is not inconveniently slimy like many other glycerine soaps. You can also use a loofah with this soap. It thoroughly cleanses the skin and when you wash it off, the skin feels fresh and rejuvenated.
The soap has a mild refreshing fragrance which soothes the senses. It makes your bathing experience beautiful because it smells natural and soothing and not at all like strong scented products. However, the fragrance does not last long. Within half an hour of taking a shower, the fragrance vanishes. But this can’t really be considered a drawback, given that your skin feels fresh and clean for a long time.
I have also used the bathing bar on my facial skin and I am not disappointed. With other soaps, my skin feels dry and stretched out but Khadi Aloe Vera glycerine bathing bar did not dry out my skin.
- Maintains moisture balance of the skin
- Can be used on the face
- Mild refreshing fragrance
- Not very slimy
- Reasonably priced
- The fragrance is natural but raw.
- The fragrance doesn’t last long. After bath, it vanishes within 30 minutes.
Other than this, I found none.
Will I Recommend this product?
Absolutely! I loved the way it is and I think it is fit for use throughout the year, except during the harsh winters when we will need something with more moisturising effect.
My Rating – 3.5/5
